Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznań (UAM) is one of the major Polish universities. Since 2003, UAM’s Division of Applied Informatics (at the Faculty of Physics) has been headed by ITTI’s President - Professor Witold Hołubowicz. The research that is undertaken by both the Division and ITTI typically results in application in practical environments (e.g. industry). Both organisations often jointly take part in EU projects.

Adam Mickiewicz University Foundation (FUAM) is an official UAM organization that focuses on applied research. One of the FUAM’s centres – the Centre of Applied Informatics – is headed by Professor Witold Hołubowicz, Its main interest is put on consulting and applicable research.
